Fontainebleau is city with 300.000 citizens and it
is located 50 kilometers South - East from Paris.

of Fontainebleau is the largest and the best xxxxxx climbing ground
on the world. Here come climbers from all over the world. Also Fontainebleau's
scale for grading the boulder problems (Font.) derives from here.
An excellent sandstone offers exeptional quality climbing from the
problem graded Font.1a to the most difficult which are representing
the measure for all the world. Also circuts of this place derive
from here. The circut is a complex of many boulder problems which
you have to climb by certain turns and which have their own valuation.

About kilometer
nord of Larchant, which is easy reached via D16. If you're on the
A6 come off at Nemours or Ury. Once in the village follow signs
for la Dame Jouanne. There's parking on both sides of road, near
a ruined building with a fountain on the right, approximately 760
m out of the village.
Very popular, attracts
a lot of foreign climbers as well as coach loads of tourists. It
can get very hot, particulary on the quick drying southern flank.
Treat the rock with care, especially after rain when it can be rather
brittle. The terrain is very sandy which increases erosion problems
and means that the grades of many problems tend to fluctuate.
